Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

    Expiration date: 4/1/2017

    Gill Property Development, LLC has applied for a Department of the Army permit to place dredged or fill material into approximately 5.031 acres of waters of the United States, primarily comprised of vernal pools and other seasonal wetlands, to construct approximately 35.5 acres of commercial development and 21.0 acres of low density residential development, including associated infrastructure. The approximately 72-acre project site is located at 3099 Nicolaus Road, near Markham Ravine, south of Nicolaus Road and east of Nelson Lane, Latitude 38.8934704°, Longitude -121.337080°, City of Lincoln, Placer County, California, and can be seen on the CA-LINCOLN USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

  • SPK-2004-00116, Record of Decision (ROD) for the Cordova Hills Project, Sacramento County, CA

    On February 21, 2017, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, (Corps) completed a Record of Decision (ROD) for the Cordova Hills project in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act.   • SPK-2010-00319, Mendota Pool Bypass & Reach 2B Project, near the City of Mendota, Fresno and Madera Counties, CA

    Expiration date: 3/18/2017

    Bureau of Reclamation has applied for a permit to place fill material into approximately 226.77 acres of waters of the United States to construct a portion of the San Joaquin River Restoration Project for the Mendota Pool Bypass & Reach 2B Project. This project includes the construction of a Compact Bypass channel to bypass the Mendota Pool, construction of setback levees, and an associated fish passage facility. The approximately 5,610.65-acre project site is located in the San Joaquin River, near the City of Mendota, Latitude 36.7802°, Longitude -120.3298°, Madera & Fresno Counties, CA.

    Serrano Associates, LLC has applied for a permit to place fill material in approximately 2.867 acres of waters of the United States to construct a mixed commercial and residential development. The approximately 241-acre project site is located near New York Creek, along El Dorado Hills Boulevard, Latitude 38.6626°, Longitude -121.0706°, El Dorado Hills, El Dorado County, California, and can be seen on the CA-CLARKSVILLE USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

  • SPK-2014-00581, WRDA - Decision to Accept and Expend Funds by Southern California Edison

    The purpose of this Public Notice is to inform the general public that the District Commander of the Sacrament District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (“Corps”) has decided to accept and expend funds contributed by Southern California Edison under Section 214 of the Water Resources Development Act of 2000 for priority evaluation of their Department of the Army permit applications and processes, subject to the limitations specified on the public notice.
