Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

  • SPN-2009-00443, San Benito County

    Expiration date: 2/1/2016

    The Final Environmental Impact Statement (Final EIS) for the Panoche Valley Solar Project, located in eastern San Benito County, is available for review and comment on the Sacramento District Website http://www.spk.usace.army.mil/Missions/Regulatory/Permitting/EnvironmentalImpactStatements.aspx. A Notice of Availability was published in the Federal Register on December 31, 2015.
  • SPK 2015-00819, Proposal to Accept WRDA Funding

    This Public Notice announces the preliminary intent of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, San Francisco District, and Los Angeles District (Corps) to accept funds contributed by the Pacific Gas and Electric Company in order to expedite processing of their permit applications.
  • SPK-2015-00005

    The District has established minimum standards for delineation reports to insure consistency and accuracy in the delineation of aquatic resources, including wetlands. Delineations submitted for verification after January 1, 2016 must follow these standards, unless determined to not be practical on a case-by-case basis. The purpose for this revision is to update the District’s minimum standards to reflect regulatory standards, guidance and protocol.

    California Department of Water Resources has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material and work in approximately 2.49 acres of waters of the United States to construct a rock salinity barrier in West False River to preserve water quality in the Central Delta. The approximately 2.49-acre project site is located on West False River, Latitude 38.05771°, Longitude -121.67156°, , Contra Costa County, California, and can be seen on the CA-JERSEY ISLAND USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

  • SPK-2002-50464, Reissuance of Programmatic General Permit 40

    Expiration date: 12/4/2015

    The District Engineer, Sacramento District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, initially issued GP 40 on November 2, 1987, and this programtic general permit for the State of Utah has been renewed every 5 years, with minor changes, following public review. The District Engineer is in the process of revising the procedures, terms and conditions set forth in GP 40. This PGP will be assigned a new number upon completion of the review process.
