Program Overview

The Sacramento District delivers engineering, construction, real estate, and environmental services that enable warfighter readiness and support national security across Army and Air Force installations. As part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, we support the Department of War, Joint commands, and federal partners, delivering modern, resilient, and sustainable infrastructure.

We provide engineering and support to more than 45 active installations and former defense sites across the Western United States. The map and lists below highlight key locations and may not represent the full scope of support.

Formerly Used Defense Sites

We deliver investigation and cleanup of environmental impacts at properties once used by the Department of War through the Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS) program, with the Army serving as executive agent and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers executing work to safely return these sites to communities.

Veterans Affairs

As part of the Interagency and International Services (IIS) program, we deliver medical facilities for the Department of Veterans Affairs across the Western United States, supporting more than 377,700 Veterans across 40,000 square miles.

A 52-acre, multi-facility VA campus modernizing healthcare delivery for Central Valley Veterans, with expanded primary care, prosthetics, mental health, logistics, and long-term care services.
