Historic drought followed by excessive precipitation patterns have shown a need to seek opportunities to both reduce the risk of flooding and conserve water to meet increasing demand from communities near Redbank and Fancher Creeks. This feasibility study will examine the existing Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District’s Redbank-Fancher Creeks Project to identify potential projects that can reduce the flood risk, particularly for the predominately underserved populations of Fresno and Clovis, and address water supply demands, through actions such as groundwater recharge.
