Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

SPK-2016-00284, State Route 269 Bridge (EA# 06-39460) Project, Fresno County, CA - 6/22/2017: California Department of Transportation has applied for a permit to place fill material in approximately 4.8 acres of waters of the United States to construct a bridge at the State Route 269 crossing of the Arroyo Pasajero and to widen and deepen 9.5 acres of the stream channel. The approximately 133-acre project site is located on and adjacent to the Arroyo Pasajero at the State Route 269 crossing, Latitude 36.234597°, Longitude -120.103687°, near the town of Huron, Fresno County, California.

SPK-2002-75568, Dry Creek Passing Lane Project, La Plata County, CO - 6/12/2017: Colorado Department of Transportation has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material in approximately 3.29 acres of waters of the United States to construct the Dry Creek Passing Lane project. The approximately 34.9-acre project site is located on US Highway 160 approximately 15 miles east of Durango between Mile Posts 96.98 and 98.57, Latitude 37.224°, Longitude -107.678°, La Plata County, Colorado, and can be seen on the CO-BAYFIELD USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

Proposed Nationwide Permit Regional Conditions For Navajo Nation Lands In Utah - 6/9/2017: On March 22, 2017, the Sacramento District finalized regional conditions (RCs) for the 2017 Nationwide Permits in Utah. In order to improve the consistency of the Corps’ regulatory program on Navajo Nation lands and maintain the Corps’ commitment to our tribal trust responsibilities, the Sacramento District is proposing to adopt three RCs within Navajo Nation lands in the state of Utah, in lieu of the current RCs that have been adopted for Utah. These RCs were been adopted by Albuquerque District for New Mexico on March 22, 2017, and are also being proposed by the Los Angeles District for Arizona.
