Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

  • SPK 2017-00271 Proposal to accept funds from the California Department of Water Resources

    Expiration date: 4/25/2017

    This Public Notice announces the preliminary intent of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District to accept funds contributed by the California Department of Water Resources in order to expedite processing of their permit applications which would implement projects related to system improvements; operations and maintenance and repair, rehabilitation or replacement (O&M, RRR) of features of the State Plan of Flood Control (SPFC), and to assist in the implementation of the Central Valley Flood Protection Plan and integration of its Conservation Strategy.
  • Sacramento District Final Regional Conditions for the 2017 Nationwide Permits for California, Nevada, and Utah

    On March 22, 2017, the Sacramento District posted finalized Regional Conditions for the 2017 Nationwide Permits (NWPs) for the District boundaries of California, Nevada, and Utah. Since the March 23, 2017, Public Notice, the Sacramento District has made minor corrections to the Regional Conditions for California, Nevada, and Utah to ensure the Regional Conditions are identical to those identified in the supplemental decision documents approved by the South Pacific Division on March 22, 2017.
  • SPK-2016-00005 - Request for Aquatic Resources Delineation Verification or Jurisdiction Determination

    On September 9, 2016, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, (Corps) issued a Public Notice informing the public about the release of Regulatory Guidance Letter 16-01. That Public Notice included a Jurisdictional Determination Request Form. This Public Notice replaces the November 2016 form with a revision titled “Request for Aquatic Resources Delineation Verification or Jurisdiction Determination.” As the title implies, this revision includes requests for Aquatic Resources Delineation Verifications as well as Jurisdictional Determinations. Use of this form remains optional and is offered to provide a template to facilitate requests for these products. A signed affirmation statement allowing the Corps to access the review area will still be required to proceed.
