Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

  • SPK-1995-00412 - Correction to Appendix D, DEIS

    The Corps has discovered that an error was made when the DEIS was published for public comment. An outdated version of the River Islands at Lathrop Hydraulic Impacts Analysis dated May 13, 2010, was included as Appendix D in Volume 2. On December 16, 2014, this version was removed from the document and replaced with the current July 28, 2014, revision of the March 16, 2012, River Islands at Lathrop Hydraulic Impacts Analysis
  • Announcement of Next Regulatory Program Workshop - Durango, CO

    Expiration date: 1/2/2015

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, Durango Regulatory Office will host a Regulatory Program Workshop on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, at the San Juan Public Lands Center, 15 Burnett Court, Durango, Colorado 81301. The main focus of the workshop will be on the Corps’ preconstruction notification requirements for activities that qualify for Nationwide Permits and Regional General Permits, along with providing helpful guidelines to facilitate an efficient review process. There is no charge for the workshop but space is limited to 35 people.     The Turlock Irrigation District has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material and in approximately 2.67 acres and temporary impacts to 7.61 acres of waters of the United States to stabilization shoreline erosion within the Don Pedro Reservoir. The project is located at three separate sites within Don Pedro Reservoir on the Tuolumne River, Tuolumne County, California.

  • SPK-1997-00652, Issuance of RGP 8 - Emergency Actions

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District (Corps), is reissuing Regional General Permit (RGP) for Emergency Actions (formerly, RGP 60) for an additional five years, beginning on January 1, 2015. RGP #8 authorizes fill and excavation activities in waters of the United States (WOUS) for necessary repair and protection measures associated with emergency incidents. RGP #8 is applicable to all WOUS within the Sacramento District boundaries of California, Nevada, and Utah.

    Lennar Fresno, Inc, has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material in approximately 0.38 acre of waters of the United States to relocate and widen approximately 0.38 acre (3,500 linear feet) of Dog Creek in order to develop a medium-density residential development. This project is located on Dog Creek, in Section 13, Township 13 South, Range 2 East, Clovis, Fresno County, California.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District (Corps) is evaluating a permit application for the placement of fill material into 40.15 acres of waters of the United States, including wetlands. This notice is to inform interested parties of: the publishing of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed project, the location, date and time of the public meeting, and to solicit comments on the proposed project. The proposed project is located east of Grant Line Road, south of Glory Lane, north of Kiefer Road, and west of Carson Creek, in portions of Sections 13, 14, 23 and 24, Township 8 North, Range 7 East, and Section 18, Township 8 North, Range 8 East, Mount Diablo Meridian, Latitude 38.54945° North, Longitude 121.16290° West, in unincorporated Sacramento County, California.

    Reclamation District 1601 has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material and work in approximately 30.6 acres of waters of the United States to construct a levee and habitat improvement project. Impacts would consist of 19.9 acres of permanent impacts and 10.7 acres of temporary impacts. This project is located on the San Joaquin River, in an unnumbered Section, Township 3 North, Range 2 East, Sacramento County, Twitchell Island, California.

    This Public Notice is to inform the public the comment period for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) and Department of the Army Permit Application for the River Islands at Lathrop Phase 2 Project, San Joaquin County, California have been extended until January 23, 2015. Additionally the Public Meeting for the DEIS has been changed from December 4, 2014 to January 8, 2015.
