Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

    Expiration date: 8/15/2014

    Marterm Holdings, LLC, Blaise Fettig, has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material and/or work in approximately 3.62-acres of waters of the United States to undertake the Vortex Marine Construction Harbor Maintenance and Dredging Project. This project is located at the San Joaquin Yacht Harbor, 3307 Wilbur Avenue, Section 16, Township 2 North, Range 2 East, Mount Diablo Meridian, Latitude 38.018825°, Longitude -121.755754°, Antioch, Contra Costa County, California.

  • SPK-2009-01482, Phase 1, CA High Speed Rail, Fresno to Bakersfield, CA

    Expiration date: 9/2/2014

    The California High-Speed Rail Authority has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material in approximately 108.09 acres of waters of the United States to construct Permit Phase 1 (PP1) of the California High-Speed Train project, Fresno to Bakersfield section. The proposed alignment is located near the BNSF railway between SR 41 in Fresno County, and 7th Standard Road in Kern County, California. This public notice is to notify the public of the request for phased authorization and to provide additional time to review and comment on the project.

    The Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the Placer Vineyards Specific Plan Project, located in portions of Sections 6 and 7 of Township 10 North, Range 6 East and Sections 1 - 12 of Township 10 North, Range 5 East, Mount Diablo Meridian, in Placer County, California, is available for review and comment on the Sacramento District Website at http://www.spk.usace.army.mil/Missions/Regulatory/Permitting/EnvironmentalImpactStatements.aspx. A Notice of Availability was posted in the Federal Register on July 25, 2014.
  • SPK-2013-00240, Emery County, Utah

    Expiration date: 7/16/2014

    Ferron Canyon Canal & Irrigation Company, Tracy Behling has applied for a permit to sluice Millsite Reservoir and place dredged sediment in Ferron Creek, a water of the United States, to restore natural turbidity levels downstream and maintain the reservoir storage capacity. This project is located on Millsite Reservoir, approximately 3 miles west of the town of Ferron, in Section 11, Township 20 South, Range 6 East, Salt Lake Meridian, Latitude 39.0994°, Longitude -111.1976°, Emery County, Utah.

    Expiration date: 6/21/2014

    The Sacramento County Office of Economic Development (applicant) has applied for a permit to place fill material in 10.099 acres of waters of the United States, including wetlands to construct a 5-10 million square foot plant to manufacture lithium ion batteries in eastern Sacramento County. The proposed work would also result in temporary impacts to 3.57 acres of drainageways associated with rerouting to the perimeter of the site.
