Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

    Spanish Fork City, Chris Thompson, has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material in approximately 2.11-acres of waters of the United States to improve the City’s drinking water collection system at its source, Cold Spring. The project is located adjacent U.S. Highway 6 in Spanish Fork Canyon, approximately 8 miles east of Spanish Fork City, on the northeast side of the highway, in Section 12, Township 9 South, Range 3 East, Salt Lake Meridian, Latitude 40.049°, Longitude -111.547°, Spanish Fork, Utah County, Utah.

    Terry Johnson, Utah Department of Transportation, has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material and/or work in approximately 0.674-acre of waters of the United States to improve and widen U.S. Highway 6 between mileposts 201 to 203. This project is located in Section 36, Township 12 South, Range 9 East, Carbon County, Utah.

    Wal-Mart Real Estate Business Trust has applied for a permit to place fill material in approximately 0.29 acre of waters of the United States to reconfigure Aspen Village Phase 4. The impacts associated with the construction of a commercial retail store will result in a cumulative impact of 1.25 acres of waters of the U.S. within the overall Aspen Village Commercial Development. This project is located approximately 2.5 miles west of Pagosa Springs on the south side of U.S. Highway 160, within Section 21 in Township 35 North and Range 2 West, New Mexico Principal Meridian, Archuleta County, Colorado.

    Jim Hatheway, City of Delta, has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material and/or work in approximately 2.09 acres of waters of the United States to construct an alternate truck route to direct truck traffic around downtown Delta. This project is located near the Gunnison and Uncompahgre Rivers, within Sections 13 and 24, Township 15 South, Range 96 West, Sixth Principal Meridian, City of Delta, Delta County, Colorado, and can be seen on the CO-NORTH DELTA USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

    SB & RBLI Land Company has applied for a permit to place fill material in approximately 2.67 acres of waters of the United States to construct housing, parks and schools, and to place fill material in 0.52 acres of waters of the U.S. to construct off-site infrastructure. The proposed project is located at the north-west intersection of Bilby Road and the future proposed Big Horn Boulevard, south of Poppy Ridge Road and east of Bruceville Road, in Section 10, Township 6 N, Range 5 E, Mount Diablo Meridian, Latitude 38.38336° North, Longitude 121.40383° West, in the City of Elk Grove, Sacramento County, California, and can be seen on the CA-FLORIN USGS Topographic Quadrangle.
