Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

  • SPK-2022-00476, Public Notice of (Permit Application), Saratoga Springs North Marina Harbor, Utah County, UT.

    Expiration date: 3/20/2024

    City of Saratoga Springs has applied for a permit to discharge dredged or fill material in approximately 2.3 acres of waters of the United States to improve and expand the existing Saratoga Springs North Marina Harbor. The approximately 25-acre project site is located on the north end of Utah Lake at the Saratoga Springs North Marina, Latitude 40.36018°, Longitude -111.88535°, Saratoga Springs, Utah County, Utah, and can be seen on the Saratoga Springs USGS Topographic Quadrangle.
  • Regulatory Program Workshop (California)– 08 March 2024

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, CA North Section, will hold a virtual Regulatory Program Workshop on Wednesday, March 8, 2024, from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm. A draft agenda is attached. Subject: Endangered Species Act/Magnusson Stevens Act (Essential Fish Habitat) submittals,  Compensatory Mitigation, ORM Excel Spreadsheet.

  • SPK-2007-01883, Public Notice of Permit Application, Forward Landfill Expansion, San Joaquin County, CA

    Expiration date: 3/7/2024

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, (Corps) is evaluating a permit application from Republic Services, Inc. (applicant/requester) to construct the Forward Landfill Expansion project, which would result in the discharge of fill material into approximately 1.02 acres of waters of the United States, including wetlands. In compliance with U.S.C. Title 33, Chapter 9, Subchapter 1, Section 408, Republic Services, Inc. has also requested permission through the Central Valley Flood Protection Board (non-federal sponsor of the federally authorized project) from the Corps to alter the Littlejohn Creek Channel, a unit of the Farmington Reservoir Project, an existing federal flood risk management project. This notice is to inform interested parties of the proposed activity and to solicit comments.
  • SPK-2022-00501, Public Notice of Permit Application for the proposed Brasil Channel Relocation Project, Merced County, CA.

    Expiration date: 3/7/2024

    The Antonio Brasil Dairy has applied for a permit to place fill material into approximately 1.2 acres of waters of the United States to reroute an existing drainage ditch to the edge of a farm field to make the parcel easier for farming. The approximately 115.0-acre project site is located at Latitude 37.04242°, Longitude -120.68403°, east of the City of Los Banos, Merced County, California, and can be seen on the Delta Ranch USGS Topographic Quadrangle.
  • SPECIAL PUBLIC NOTICE – SPK-2023-00332, Traditional Navigable Water Determination for Humboldt Lake in Nevada

    On January 4, 2024, the Commander of the South Pacific Division of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers determined that Humboldt Lake is a traditional navigable water pursuant to the Clean Water Act and 33 CFR §328.3(a)(1)(i). The determination was made based on a report of findings prepared by the Sacramento District.
