Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

  • SPK-2009-01482, Permit Phase 1 (PP1) of the California High-Speed Train (HST), Fresno to Bakersfield project

    Expiration date: 3/31/2014

    California High-Speed Rail Authority has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material in approximately 108.09 acres of waters of the United States to construct Permit Phase 1 (PP1) of the California High-Speed Train project, Fresno to Bakersfield section. The proposed alignment is located near the BNSF railway between SR 41 in Fresno County, and 7th Standard Road in Kern County, California. The revised public notice corrects the reported temporary impacts to waters of the United States.

  • SPK-2014-00005 Guidance on Delineations in Drought Conditions

    Drought conditions have developed over the past three years in many parts of the Corps of Engineers’ South Pacific Division. Regulatory project managers, permit applicants, wetland consultants and others have inquired as to what expectations, guidance, or direction is available for wetland delineations under these conditions. This notice identifies tools and approaches which may be useful in completing wetland delineations during periods of below-normal rainfall, drought conditions and unusually low winter snowpack.

    Natomas Meadows, LLC, Brad Ross has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material and/or work in approximately 4.2 acres of waters of the United States to construct three large-scale industrial warehouse facilities. This 73-acre project area is located near 5600 West and 1730 South in Section 14, Township 1 South, Range 2 West, Salt Lake Meridian, Latitude 40.734°, Longitude -112.026°, Salt Lake County, Utah.

  • Aquatic Resource Restoration Workshop in Colorado

    Expiration date: 2/25/2014

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, along with the Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory and Mountain Studies Institute will host an Aquatic Resource Restoration Workshop on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, from 8:00am to 12:00pm, at the San Juan Public Lands Center, 15 Burnett Court, Durango, Colorado 81301. The purpose of the workshop is to share technical information regarding aquatic resource restoration projects that have occurred within Southwest Colorado.

    UDOT Region 2, Mason Palmer has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material and/or work in approximately 3.41 acres of waters of the United States to reconfigure the SR-201/SR-202 Intersection. The 18.2-acre site is located at the intersection of SR-201 and SR-202, Section 15, Township 1 South, Range 3 West, Salt Lake Meridian, Latitude 40.73083°, Longitude -112.16946°, Salt Lake County, Utah, and can be seen on the UT-Farnsworth Peak USGS Topographic Quadrangle.
