    SACRAMENTO, California – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District’s Hensley Lake, and H.V. Eastman Lake, are experiencing algae blooms. Signage has been posted around the lakes.   • Field work now complete in Consolidated Debris Removal Program

    ROHNERT PARK, California – Physical debris removal and all field work related to the Consolidated Debris Removal Program following the October 2017 Northern California Wildfires is now complete, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Crews have cleared 4,563 parcels in Lake, Mendocino, Napa and Sonoma counties of more than 2.2 million tons of ash and fire-related debris.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District published a draft feasibility report and environmental assessment today, marking a major milestone in the Yuba River Ecosystem Restoration feasibility study. The draft report outlines a proposed plan to reconnect the Yuba River to its floodplain, create rearing habitat for juvenile fish, create riparian habitat, and facilitate improved conditions for the natural recruitment of riparian habitat.
