Englebright Lake seeks volunteers for National Public Lands Day

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Englebright Lake, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers park, is hosting National Public Lands Day on Sept. 15, providing free entry to day-use areas for all participating volunteers.

 This year’s event begins at 8:45 a.m. and concludes at noon, with volunteers participating in a variety of projects such as trail maintenance, shoreline clean-up, litter removal, and campground beautification. Volunteers must wear appropriate work attire, including closed-toed shoes or boots, long pants and shirts that help shield from the elements. Tools will be provided, volunteers are encouraged to bring properly fitted work gloves.

 Volunteers participating in Corps of Engineers Sacramento District’s National Public Lands Day events will receive a free day-use pass coupon valid for one year at any federal park!
