Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

  • SPK-2008-00117- RGP 8 proposal

    Expiration date: 11/20/2013

    This public notice discusses the reissuance of Regional General Permit (RGP) 57 under a new name, RGP 8. This RGP is to allow the discharge of dredged or fill material and or other work within waters of the United States to construct projects beneficial to the recovery of Colorado River endangered fish species in Colorado and Utah.

  • SPK-2013-00851, Montrose County, CO

    Expiration date: 11/18/2013

    The City of Montrose has applied for a permit to construct the Montrose Whitewater Park project, which would result in permanent impacts to approximately 0.81 acre of waters of the United States, including wetlands, and temporary impacts to 1.35 acres of waters of the United States in or adjacent to the Uncompahgre River. This project is located at Baldridge Park, within Section 33, Township 49 North, Range 9 West, Latitude 38.46382°, Longitude -107.87943°City of Montrose, Montrose County, Colorado.

    Expiration date: 11/29/2013

    Due to the Government Shut-down, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District has extended the comment period for this Public Notice. Comment end date is now November 29, 2013. Loafer Creek LLC, Grant Hornbeak, has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material and/or work in approximately 9.83 acres of waters of the United States to construct a destination golf course resort and hotel complex with wellness center within the Lake Oroville area. The 541-acre proposed project site is located approximately six miles east of the City of Oroville, in Section 9, Township 19 North, Range 5 East, Mount Diablo Meridian, Latitude 39.5239054°, Longitude -121.422615°, Butte County, California.

  • SPK-2002-75568, La Plata County, CO

    Expiration date: 11/1/2013

    Due to the Government Shut-down, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District has extended the comment period for Public Notice SPK-2002-75568-DC to November 1, 2013. Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material within approximately 20.08 acres of wetland and 3,761 linear feet of other waters of the U.S. to improve US Highway 160. The project site is located in La Plata County, Colorado on US Highway 160 and US Highway 550. The project length on US 160 is 16.2 miles extending from Durango to Bayfield, approximately, and 1.2 miles on US 550.
