Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

    State of California, Department of Transportation has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material in approximately 7.353 acres of waters of the United States, including wetlands, to construct Segment 3 of the State Route 180 Sequoia/Kings Canyon Expressway project. This project is located near the communities of Centerville and Minkler, from 0.7 mile west of Smith Avenue to 0.7 mile east of Frankwood Avenue, in Sections 5-11 and 14, Township 14 South, Range 23 East, Mount Diablo Meridian, Latitude 36.7275982299381°, Longitude -119.474022371827°, Fresno County, California

  • SPK-2011-00755 - UPRR, Great Salt Lake, Box Elder County, UT

    Expiration date: 1/27/2014

    The comment ending date has been extended to 27 Jan 2014 due to agency request for extension due to holiday period. Union Pacific Railroad has applied for a permit to permanently fill the East Culvert and construct a proposed bridge on the Causeway across the Great Salt Lake in Box Elder County, Utah. The project would result in permanent impacts to approximately 0.17-acre of waters of the U.S. for closure of the East Culvert, 0.003-acre of waters of the U.S. for construction of the bridge, and temporary impacts to 1.28 acres of open waters to build a temporary shoofly rail. The project is being evaluated by the Corps under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and by the State of Utah for Section 401 Water Quality certification.

    Long Valley Sewer Improvement District has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material and work in approximately 1.96 acres of waters of the United States to upgrade and improve the sewer system within Orderville, Mt. Carmel and Glendale. This project is located on an ephemeral tributary of the East Fork of the Virgin River, in Section 19, Township 41 South, Range 7 West, Salt Lake Meridian, Latitude 37.23125°, Longitude -112.67712°, Orderville, Kane County, Utah.

  • SPK-2005-00888, SunCreek Specific Plan FEIS, Sacramento County

    Expiration date: 12/12/2013

    The Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the SunCreek Specific Plan Project, located east of Sunrise Boulevard, north and west of Grant Line Road, and south of Kiefer Boulevard, in Rancho Cordova, California, is available for review and comment on the Sacramento District Website at http://www.spk.usace.army.mil/Missions/Regulatory/Permitting/EnvironmentalImpactStatements.aspx. A Notice of Availability was posted in the Federal Register on November 8, 2013.
