Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

  • SPK-2012-00745 - (Duck Creek) Clark County, NV

    Expiration date: 5/15/2013

    The City of Henderson (Albert Jankowiak) has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material and/or work in approximately 0.97-acre of waters of the United States (2,620 linear feet) to construct a flood control channel. This project is located on Duck Creek from Sandhill Road to downstream of Sunset Road, in Section 6, Township 22 South, Range 62 East, Henderson, Clark County, Nevada.

    West Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency, Ken Ruzich has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material and work in approximately 37.6 acres of waters of the United States to upgrade existing levee deficiencies along the Southport reach of levees. This project is located on the Sacramento River, Townships 7 and 8 North, Range 4 East, Mount Diablo Meridian, Latitude 38.5284°, Longitude -121.5291°, Yolo County, California.

  • Public Notice for Actions Completed in March 2013

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, (Corps) has posted the final actions that were taken by the Sacramento District during the period 01 March through 31 March 2013 at http://www.spk.usace.army.mil/Missions/Regulatory/FinalActions.aspx. Relevant Environmental Documents, Statement of Findings and Record of Decisions are available upon written request pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act.
  • SPK-2009-01483 (Permit Phase 1 (PP1) of the California High-Speed Train project, Merced to Fresno Section)

    Expiration date: 4/18/2013

    The California High Speed Rail Authority has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material in approximately 8.287 acres of waters of the United States, to construct Permit Phase 1 (PP1) of the California High-Speed Train project, Merced to Fresno Section. The proposed alignment is located near the BNSF and UPRR railways between Avenue 17 in Madera County, and Los Angeles Street in Fresno County, California.

    The Sacramento and San Francisco Districts announce their preliminary intent to accept funds contributed by the Solano County Water Agency subject to a series of limitations below: Section 214 of the Water Resources Development Act of 2000 (WRDA 2000, Public Law No. 106-541 111-120) as amended, provides: (a) The Secretary of the Army, after public notice, may accept and expend funds contributed by non-Federal public entities to expedite the evaluation of permits under the jurisdiction of the Department of the Army. (b) In carrying out this section, the Secretary shall ensure that the use of funds accepted under subsection (a) will not impact impartial decision making with respect to permits, either substantively or procedurally. (c) The authority provided under this section shall be in effect from October 1, 2000 to December 31, 2016.
