    Experience the great outdoors during “Every Kid in a Park” recreation initiative

    President Obama, with the support of the Federal Interagency Council on Outdoor Recreation to include the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, announced the start of a new initiative to give every child in the United States the chance to explore and learn about America’s great outdoors. The Every Kid in a Park initiative will provide all fourth grade students and their families with free admission to more than 2,000 federally-managed sites nationwide for a full year.

    Corps awards contract to kick off Hamilton City levee work

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District awarded $6.2 million to Newland Entities Inc. of Marysville, California, on July 28, 2015, to begin levee construction this summer on the Hamilton City Flood Damage Reduction and Ecosystem Restoration project.
