Corps to conduct traffic control operations at Folsom Point recreation area

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District and its contractor Kiewit Infrastructure will conduct traffic control operations September 5-23 as part of the Folsom Dam auxiliary spillway construction project, forcing a detour and temporary delays inside the Folsom Point recreation area.

$824,764 contract fuels progress on Marysville Ring Levee

An $824,764 contract for the next phase of improvements to the Marysville Ring Levee was awarded Aug. 26 to Patterson Taber General Engineering, Inc. of Marysville, California. Construction on 500 feet of stability berm is expected to begin later this year.

Corps releases draft environmental report, announces public meeting dates for Folsom Dam Raise Project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District has released a draft supplemental environmental impact statement/environmental impact report for the Folsom Dam Raise Project. The report addresses environmental impacts and recommends mitigation measures in regard to the proposed dam modifications at Folsom Lake.
