Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

SPK-2018-00256, Construct the Rose Creek Relocation Project, Salt Lake County, Utah - 4/6/2018: Riverton City has applied for a permit to realign a 1,600 foot section of Rose Creek to provide better flood flow conveyance and to maximize the site for development. The approximately 96-acre project site is located southeast of the intersection of 13400 South and the Mountain View Corridor, Latitude 40.50619°, Longitude -111.99842°, Salt Lake County, Utah., and can be seen on the Midvale USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

SPK-2005-50428, Proposed Mitigation Bank Instrument Modification, Machine Lake Mitigation Bank, UT - 4/4/2018: R&P Wetlands and Waterfowl, LLC (Sponsor) has requested a modification to the Bank Enabling Instrument (BEI) for the Machine Lake Mitigation Bank. The proposed BEI modification would modify the bank’s mitigation service area to include two previously-excluded areas located within the existing service area boundary. The existing service area boundary around the perimeter of the Great Salt Lake would remain unchanged.

SPK-2015-00183, Shed C Channel Improvement Project, Sacramento County, CA - 3/26/2018: The City of Elk Grove has applied for a permit to place fill material into approximately 12.89 acres of waters of the United States, including wetlands, to construct a flood control project in a portion of the Shed C Channel. This proposed project includes the creation of detention basins, a flow channel, upland bike trails, road crossings, and wetlands habitat. The approximately 485.0-acre project site is located north of Kammerer Road between Bruceville Road and Lotz Parkway, in Sections 11-16, T6N, R5E, MDB&M, Latitude 38.37560°, Longitude -121.40433°, City of Elk Grove, Sacramento County, California, and can be seen on the Florin & Bruceville USGS Topographic Quadrangles.

SPK-1997-00652, Public Notice of Proposed Revision and Reissuance of Regional General Permit 8, Emergency Repair and Protection within the Sacramento District boundaries of California, the State of Nevada, and the State of Utah - 3/23/2018: The Corps is proposing to revise and re-issue Regional General Permit 8 for Emergency Repair and Protection Activities. The proposed RGP would authorize permanent or temporary work or structures in navigable waters of the U.S., and/or the permanent or temporary discharge of dredged and/or fill material into waters of the U.S., including wetlands, for repair or protection activities for which this office has determined that an emergency situation exists. The RGP would be applicable to emergency activities within the Sacramento District boundaries of California, Nevada, and Utah.
