    SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District awarded a $6.15 million contract Feb. 11 to BVB Construction Inc. of Ventura to expand the Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care System facility in Mather.

    Officials at Black Butte Lake park have closed Observation Point Road to vehicle traffic during repairs to erosion damage caused by recent rain storms. Black Butte Lake Park, near Orland, is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District.
  • Marysville Ring Levee phase one wrapping up

    After two full years of construction, phase one of the Marysville Ring Levee Project has drawn to a close with 4,600 linear feet of deep-soil-mixed cutoff wall installed – the first milestone in a four-phase project to reduce Marysville’s flood risk. “All major structural improvements for this stretch of levee are complete,” said Mark Ellis, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District project manager.
