  • Local levee improvements set to begin Nov. 1

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District, in cooperation with the California Central Valley Flood Protection Board, will be repairing two levee erosion sites along the south bank of the American River between Watt Ave. and the Mayhew Drain, weather permitting, between November 2011 and July 2012.
  • West Sacramento levee work buttons up before rainy season

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District will conclude this year’s construction of a setback levee along South River Road in West Sacramento in mid-November.
  • Army Corps awards $2.4 million in contracts for work at Beale Air Force Base

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District awarded a total of $2.47 million in contracts Sept. 30 for work at Beale Air Force Base, near Marysville. The contracts were $1.24 million to Abide International Inc. of Sonoma for construction of perimeter fence; and $1.23 million to Patriot Construction Inc. of Stockton for repairing the airfield’s vault lighting.
  • Army Corps awards $1.8 million for Sacramento levee repair

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District awarded a $1.89 million contract Sept. 30 to Hard Rock Construction of Live Oak to raise a 4,000-foot-long stretch of levee located between Howe Ave. and Watt Ave., an average of one foot and improving the waterside slope to Corps’ standards.
  • Army Corps awards $5.3 million in contracts for work at Presidio of Monterey

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District has awarded a total of $5.37 million in contracts Sept. 30 for work at Beale Air Force Base, near Marysville, Calif.
