SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District has awarded a total of $5.37 million in contracts Sept. 30 for work at Beale Air Force Base, near Marysville, Calif. The contracts were $1.62 million to Patriot Construction Inc. of Stockton for renovations of flooring at seven buildings and a renovation of building 263; $382,000 to Onsite Construction and Engineering Inc. of Nipomo for painting of two buildings; and $3.37 million to T. Simons Co. Inc. of Nipomo for window refurbishment and replacement at 11 buildings on post.
Construction of the perimeter fence is scheduled to begin in early November 2011. Completion is scheduled for fall 2012.
Construction for the new vault lighting is scheduled to begin Oct. 12. Completion is scheduled for mid-August 2012.
Patriot Construction Inc. is a U.S. Small Business Administration HUBZone-designated small business. The Small Business Administration’s HUBZone program provides federal contracting preferences to small businesses in high-unemployment or low-income areas.
T. Simons Co. Inc. is a U.S. Small Business Administration 8(a)-designated small business. The Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Business Development Program is designed to help small, disadvantaged businesses compete for federal contracts.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District provides planning, engineering, project management, environmental restoration and construction services to military and civilian customers in parts of eight western states, including California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon and Wyoming.
