Public Notices

A public notice is the primary method the Corps uses to advise interested parties of a proposed activity for which a Department of the Army permit is being sought. The Corps solicits comments and information to evaluate the probable impacts of the proposed activity on the public interest. Public notices are also used to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance, or permit procedures.

Public Notices issued by the Sacramento District are posted on this page and can be found on the Corps’ Regulatory Request System (RRS). Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals who signed up to receive our public notices.  Comments, which are due by the expiration date of the public notice, should be submitted through the RRS. Only comments submitted through the RRS, by email, or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted. Hard copy comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

  • Record of Decision for eight projects within the Mather Specific Plan, Mather, Sacramento County, CA

    On January 28, 2020, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District (Corps), completed a Record of Decision (ROD), in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, for eight projects within the Mather Specific Plan, consisting of: Phase I/II Zinfandel Drive Improvements and Sewerline Extension (SPK-2002-00561), Phase III Zinfandel Drive (SPK-2006-00530), Douglas Road Extension (SPK-# pending application receipt), Airport Commercial (SPK-2009-00404), Commercial Development (SPK-2009-00525), Economic Development (SPK-2009-00526), Parks and Recreation (SPK-2009-00527) and Residential (SPK-2009-00529). The ROD also documents the Corps’ determination that the Proposed Phase I/II Zinfandel Drive Improvements and Sewerline Extension project qualifies for authorization under Nationwide Permit Numbers 12 and 14.     Washington County Water Conservancy District has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material in approximately 12,346 linear feet (4.02 acres) of waters of the United States to construct the Ash Creek Pipeline and Toquer Reservoir. The approximately 678-acre project site is located east of I-15, between the northern boundary of Latitude 37.41026°, Longitude -113.23525°, and the southern boundary of Latitude 37.26986°, Longitude -113.31086°, Washington County, Utah.
