Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

  • SPK-2015-00183, Shed C Channel Improvement Project, Sacramento County, CA

    Expiration date: 4/11/2018

    The City of Elk Grove has applied for a permit to place fill material into approximately 12.89 acres of waters of the United States, including wetlands, to construct a flood control project in a portion of the Shed C Channel. This proposed project includes the creation of detention basins, a flow channel, upland bike trails, road crossings, and wetlands habitat. The approximately 485.0-acre project site is located north of Kammerer Road between Bruceville Road and Lotz Parkway, in Sections 11-16, T6N, R5E, MDB&M, Latitude 38.37560°, Longitude -121.40433°, City of Elk Grove, Sacramento County, California, and can be seen on the Florin & Bruceville USGS Topographic Quadrangles.

  • SPK-1997-00652, Public Notice of Proposed Revision and Reissuance of Regional General Permit 8, Emergency Repair and Protection within the Sacramento District boundaries of California, the State of Nevada, and the State of Utah

    The Corps is proposing to revise and re-issue Regional General Permit 8 for Emergency Repair and Protection Activities. The proposed RGP would authorize permanent or temporary work or structures in navigable waters of the U.S., and/or the permanent or temporary discharge of dredged and/or fill material into waters of the U.S., including wetlands, for repair or protection activities for which this office has determined that an emergency situation exists. The RGP would be applicable to emergency activities within the Sacramento District boundaries of California, Nevada, and Utah.

  • SPK-2012-00286 In-Lieu Fee Project Proposal for Funding from the Sacramento District California In-Lieu Fee Program

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District (Corps) is soliciting comments regarding three In-lieu Fee Project (ILF Project) proposals, requesting funding from the Sacramento District California In-Lieu Fee Program (ILF Program). The Sponsor for this ILF Program is the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF). Each of the three proposed ILF Projects would consist of the purchase of mitigation bank credits, sufficient to fulfill existing Advanced Credit sales within the Cache/Putah; Cosumnes/ Mokelumne; and San Joaquin Aquatic Resource Service Areas. The ILF Project for the Cache/Putah Aquatic Resource Service Area would consist of the purchase of 0.63 salmonid/floodplain riparian credit from the Bullock Bend Mitigation Bank. The ILF Project for the Cosumnes/Mokelumne Aquatic Resource Service Area would consist of the purchase of 0.17 floodplain mosaic credit from the Cosumnes Floodplain Mitigation Bank. The ILF Project for the San Joaquin Aquatic Resource Service Area would consist of the purchase of 3.08 seasonal wetland credits from the Grasslands Mitigation Bank.

The approximately 264.4-acre project site is located southwest of the intersection of Palladay Road and Baseline Road, in Sections 4, 5, 8, and 9 of Township 10 North, Range5 East, Mount Diablo Baseline and Meridian, Latitude 38.7433°, Longitude -121.4445°, west of Roseville, in Placer County, California.
