Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

  • Final Nationwide Permit Regional Conditions for Navajo Nation Lands in Utah

    On March 29, 2018, the South Pacific Division approved the Final Sacramento District regional conditions (RCs) for the 2017 Nationwide Permits on Navajo Nation Lands in Utah. In order to improve the consistency of the Corps’ regulatory program on Navajo Nation lands and maintain the Corps’ commitment to our tribal trust responsibilities, the Sacramento District is adopting three RCs within Navajo Nation lands in the state of Utah, in lieu of the previous RCs that were adopted for Utah. These RCs were been adopted by Albuquerque District for New Mexico on March 22, 2017, and are also being adopted by the Los Angeles District for Arizona.

    Western Placer Unified School District has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material in approximately 1.40 acres of waters of the United States to construct a high school, including seven buildings, four baseball/softball fields, one football/track field, three new parking lots, and an extension of the existing City of Lincoln library parking lot. The approximately 56-acre project site is located near State Route 65 and Twelve Bridges Drive, Latitude 38.841896°, Longitude -121.297519°, Placer County, California., and can be seen on the Roseville USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

    Expiration date: 5/4/2018

    Riverton City has applied for a permit to realign a 1,600 foot section of Rose Creek to provide better flood flow conveyance and to maximize the site for development. The approximately 96-acre project site is located southeast of the intersection of 13400 South and the Mountain View Corridor, Latitude 40.50619°, Longitude -111.99842°, Salt Lake County, Utah., and can be seen on the Midvale USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

  • SPK-2005-50428, Proposed Mitigation Bank Instrument Modification, Machine Lake Mitigation Bank, UT

    Expiration date: 5/4/2018

    R&P Wetlands and Waterfowl, LLC (Sponsor) has requested a modification to the Bank Enabling Instrument (BEI) for the Machine Lake Mitigation Bank. The proposed BEI modification would modify the bank’s mitigation service area to include two previously-excluded areas located within the existing service area boundary. The existing service area boundary around the perimeter of the Great Salt Lake would remain unchanged.
