Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

  • SPK-2016-00005 - Regulatory Program Workshop in Bountiful, Utah

    Alton Coal Development is seeking a Standard Individual Permit from the Corps for the discharge of fill into approximately 2.43 acres of jurisdictional wetlands, 0.04 acre of jurisdictional open water, and 257 linear feet of jurisdictional stream to expand their coal mining operations into Areas 2 and 3. The approximately 296-acre project site is located 1 mile southeast of Alton and directly east of County Road 10, Latitude 37.4076°, Longitude -112.4656°, Kane County, Utah, and can be seen on the UT-BALD KNOLL USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

    Lennar Homes has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material and work in approximately 7.91 acres of waters of the United States to construct mixed-use development – residential and commercial/industrial – for the Carson Creek Unit 2 Project. The approximately 423-acre project site is located is located in western El Dorado County approximately two miles south of U.S. Highway 50, approximately 0.25 miles to the west of Latrobe Road, Latitude 38.6206°, Longitude -121.0685°, El Dorado Hills, El Dorado County, California, and can be seen on the CA-FOLSOM SE USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

  • SPK-2011-00384 - Regional General Permit 12 Reissuance

    Expiration date: 8/11/2016

    In accordance with Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. 1344) and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S.C. 403), the District Engineer, U.S. Army, Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque, Omaha, and Sacramento Districts, are proposing to reissue regional general permit (RGP) 12 to authorize certain limited discharges of dredged and fill material within waters of the U.S. associated with aquatic habitat improvement activities in Colorado. RGP 12 is applicable to all waters of the United States within the State of Colorado.

  • SPK-2015-00946 - Gunnison County, Colorado

    Expiration date: 8/8/2016

    The Federal Highways Administration has applied for a permit to place fill material in approximately 2.42 acres of waters of the United States to upgrade Gunnison County Road 209, commonly referred to as Cottonwood Pass Road. The approximately 12.5-mile long project site is located on Gunnison County Road 209, starting at its intersection with Gunnison County Road 742 and ending at its intersection with the Continental Divide, Gunnison County, Colorado.
