Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, (Corps) is amending the previous Public Notice published on April 7, 2015, evaluating a permit application to construct the Emergency Drought Barriers project.

    Expiration date: 5/11/2015

    Lake Development - Lincoln, LLC, has applied for a permit to place fill material in approximately 10 acres of wetlands and other waters of the United States to construct the Walkup Ranch residential project. The 145-acre site is located near Auburn Ravine in Section 14, Township 12 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Meridian, Latitude 38.890447°, Longitude -121.270010°, Lincoln, Placer County, California, and can be seen on the CA-LINCOLN USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

  • SPK-2014-00187, Sacramento, Solano, and Contra Costa Counties, CA

    Expiration date: 4/22/2015

    California Department of Water Resources has applied for a permit to conduct work in and to place dredged or fill material into approximately 4.81 acres (0.75 acre permanent and 3.15 acres temporary) of waters of the United States to construct three temporary salinity barriers. The proposed barriers would be located in Miner Slough, approximately 5 miles upstream of the Sacramento River in Solano County, Steamboat Slough, 0.8 miles upstream of the confluence with the Sacramento Deep Water Shipping Channel (Cache Slough) on the border between Sacramento and Solano Counties, and West False River, approximately 0.4 mile east of the confluence with the San Joaquin River in Contra Costa County.
