  • Army Corps awards $1.4 million for drought-resistant landscaping at Presidio of Monterey

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District awarded a $1.4 million contract Aug. 20 to Jacob Construction & Design Inc. of San Luis Obispo to replace approximately 2.8 acres of turf at the Presidio of Monterey with drought-resistant landscaping.     The public comment period has been extended two weeks for the permit application from California Department of Water Resources regarding their proposal to erect three temporary drought barriers in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta. Originally set to close April 16, the comment period is now open through April 29.
