Corps awards $285,000 contract for chilled water system at Dugway Proving Ground

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District awarded a $285,000 contract for upgrading a chilled water system at Dugway Proving Ground, Utah, Dec. 17.

Mountain West Precast LLC of Ogden, Utah, will provide upgrades to the current chilled water system used by the installation’s dissemination and explosives division. The upgrades will accommodate a planned increase in cooling loads as a result of acquisition of new equipment.

Mountain West Precast is a U.S. Small Business Administration 8(a)-designated small business. The Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Business Development Program is designed to help small, disadvantaged businesses compete for federal contracts.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District provides planning, engineering, project management, environmental restoration and construction services to military and civilian customers in parts of eight western states, including California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon and Wyoming.
