Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, (Corps) has issued Regional General Permit (RGP) 3 which installation, repair, modification, replacement, or removal of pile supported docks and floating docks, and their associated structures (e.g. access, decks, landings, gangway, ramp, stairs, etc.), that require a Department of the Army (DA) Permit prior to installation in navigable waters of the United States (U.S.) in California, Colorado, Nevada, and Utah.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, (Corps) is evaluating a permit application for the Lakeside Marina Expansion project, which would result in impacts to approximately 1.96 acres of waters of the United States, in or adjacent to Fish Lake. This notice is to inform interested parties of the proposed activity and to solicit comments.

  • SPK-2010-00319, Mendota Pool Bypass & Reach 2B, Madera and Fresno Counties, CA

    Expiration date: 9/11/2019

    Bureau of Reclamation has applied for a permit to place permanent fill material into approximately 326.08 acres of waters of the U.S. to construct setback levees, a Mendota Pool bypass structure with fish passage, restore floodplain habitat, and breach portions of existing levees. The project also proposes to temporarily impact another 63.95 acres of waters of the U.S. The approximately 5,610.66 -acre project site is located in the San Joaquin River and Mendota Pool area, in Sections 15-29, Township 13 South, Range 15 East, MDB&M, Latitude 36.78021°, Longitude -120.329834°, Madera and Fresno Counties, California, and can be seen on the Firebaugh USGS Topographic Quadrangle.
