Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

    The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (Sponsor) proposes to establish an ILF Project located in the Kern Aquatic Resource Service Area that would generate approximately 5.79 Aquatic Resource Credits by re-establishing approximately 5.79 acres of montane wet meadow habitat. The approximately 15.29-acre project site is located in eastern Tulare County in the Sequoia National Forest, approximately six miles northwest of Kennedy Meadows, Latitude 36.0845° N, Longitude -118.2505° W, Tulare County, California, and can be seen on the Bonita Meadows, USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

    The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (Sponsor) proposes to establish an ILF Project located in the King’s and San Joaquin River Service Areas that would generate approximately 26.10 Aquatic Resource Released Credits by re-establishing approximately 26.10 acres of floodplain seasonal wetland habitat. The approximately 130-acre project site is located in western Fresno County, approximately five miles east of the town of Mendota, Latitude 36.7627° N, Longitude - 120.2889° W, Fresno County, California and can be seen on the Mendota Dam, USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

    Granite Construction Company has applied for a permit to place dredged and/or fill material in approximately 11.34 acres of waters of the United States, for surface aggregate (sand and gravel) mining on the Vineyard South Mine site. The approximately 170-acre site is located near Elder Creek, in the vicinity of Elder Creek Road, west of Bradshaw Road, Latitude 38.50620°, Longitude -121.34969°, Sacramento County, California, and can be seen on the Carmichael USGS Topographic Quadrangle.
