Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, will hold the next Regulatory Program Workshop on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm at the Sacramento District Headquarters in Room 814. The workshop is open to all interested parties including the regulated public, consultants, environmental organizations, and Federal, state and local agencies.     Western Basin Land and Livestock LLC has applied for a permit to place fill material in approximately 1.38 acres of palustrine emergent wetland to provide a sloped area between the western and eastern agricultural fields for more efficient flood irrigation. The approximately 2.865-acre project site is located adjacent to Salt Creek and south of Willard Bay, Latitude 41.30942°, Longitude -112.11428°, Plain City, Weber County, Utah, and can be seen on the UT-PLAIN CITY USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

  • SPK-2016-00005-Regulatory Program Workshop – 12 October 2016, Grand Junction, CO

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, Grand Junction, CO Regulatory Office will hold the next Regulatory Program Workshop on Wed, October 12, 2016 from 1:30–4 pm at the Grand Junction City Auditorium, 250 N 5th Street, Grand Junction, CO. This free workshop will focus on Aquatic Resource Delineations and, while open to the public, is geared to wetland consultants who perform field delineations. We will discuss proper field protocol including ordinary high water mark (OHWM), aquatic resource types, data sample locations, and completion of wetland data sheets focusing on plants, soils, and hydrology.     The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District has posted Public Notice SPK-2016-00005 to www.spk.usace.army.mil/Media/RegulatoryPublicNotices.aspx. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, will hold a Regulatory Program Workshop in Saint George, Utah, on Tuesday, September 13, 2016. The workshop will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 pm in Community Room A (lower level) at the Washington County Library-Saint George Branch, located at 80 West 100 South, Saint George, Utah 84770. A webinar option will also be available upon request. There is no charge for the workshop but space is limited to 60 people and those who do not register may be turned away due to space limitations.     The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, (Corps) is evaluating three permit applications within the Sierra Vista Specific Plan Area (SVSP) to construct the Baseline P&R (SPK-2005-01062) and the Baseline 80 Investors, LLC (Westbrook) (SPK-2005-00331), which would result in impacts to approximately 6.09 acres of waters of the United States (WOUS), including wetlands adjacent to Curry Creek . Specifically, the proposed projects would result in impacts to 3.43 acres of WOUS on the Baseline P&R property and 2.66 acres of WOUS on the Baseline 80 Investors, LLC (Westbrook) property. The Baseline P&R and the Baseline 80 Investors, LLC projects are part of the SVSP area within the City of Roseville, California, on which the Corps has prepared an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). This notice is to inform interested parties of the proposed activities and to solicit comments.
