Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

  • SPK 2016-00149, Proposal to accept funds from the California Department of Water Resources

    Expiration date: 3/18/2016

    This Public Notice announces the preliminary intent of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District to accept funds contributed by the California Department of Water Resources in order to expedite processing of their permit applications which would implement projects required by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service's 2008 Delta Smelt Biological Opinion and National Marine Fisheries Service's 2009 Biological Opinion and Conference Opinion on the long-term operation of the Central Valley Project and the State Water Project.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, will hold a Utah Regulatory Program Workshop on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm in the Auditorium (lower level) at the Davis County Library-South Branch, located at 725 South Main Street, Bountiful, Utah 84010. There is no charge for the workshop but space is limited to 90 people and those who do not register may be turned away due to space limitations.   • SPK-2016-00112, create an In-Lieu Fee (ILF) Program for the Virgin River Watershed

    The District Engineer - Sacramento has issued a Public Notice for a proposed ILF Program sponsored by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Southern Nevada District Office for the Virgin River Watershed and its tributaries. The purpose of the ILF Program is to provide compensatory mitigation for impacts/losses to waters of the U.S. under the Clean Water Act and impacts related to activities regulated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service under the Endangered Species Act. The service area for the proposed ILF program would cover areas in Nevada, Arizona and Utah.

    This Public Notice announces the preliminary intent of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, and Los Angeles District (Corps) to accept funds contributed by the Southern California Edison Company in order to expedite processing of their permit applications.
  • SPK-2002-50464, PGP 10, Minimal Impact Activities in the State Of Utah Issued

    The District Engineer- Sacramento has issued Programmatic General Permit 10 (formerly PGP 40) in the State of Utah for a period of 5 years. The PGP 10 applies to all waters of U.S. that are part of a surface tributary system over which the State Engineer has regulatory authority and has issued a permit under the State Stream Alteration Program. This permit does not apply to activities undertaken on Tribal lands or to waters such as springs, lakes/reservoirs, fens and wetlands to which the Stream Alteration Program does not apply.
