Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

  • SPK-1992-50255 (the Narrows Reservoir project)

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District has extended the comment period for Public Notice SPK-1992-50255 (the Narrows Reservoir project) Sanpete Water Conservancy District (Edwin Sunderland) has applied for a permit to place fill material and/or work in approximately 71.9 acres of wetlands and 26,947 linear feet of stream channel to construct the Narrows Reservoir. This project is located 9 miles east of Fairview, on State Road 31, on and near Gooseberry Creek, in Sections 24 and 25, T13 S, R 5 E, and Sections 19 and 30, T13 S, R6E, in northern Sanpete County, Utah.

    Climax Molybdenum has applied for a permit to place fill material and work in approximately 16.48 acres of waters of the United States to construct an expansion of an existing overburden storage facility in McNulty Gulch at the Climax Molybdenum Company’s Climax Mine. The approximately 380-acre project site is located entirely within the Climax Mine near Leadville, Latitude 39.389420°, Longitude -106.171874°, Climax, Summit County, Colorado.

A Notice of Availability was published in the Federal Register on March 4, 2016.
