Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

  • SPK-2004-50130, Issuance of Regional General Permit #6

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District (District), hereby issues Regional General Permit 6 for activities that have been determined by the U.S. National Park Service to be categorically excluded from further environmental documentation because the actions, under normal circumstances, are not considered major federal actions and that they will have no measurable impacts on the human environment.     The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District (Corps), is proposing to extend Regional General Permit (RGP) for Emergency Actions (formerly, RGP 60) for an additional five years. This permit authorizes fill and excavation activities in waters of the United States for necessary repair and protection measures associated with emergency incidents.     The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, (Corps) has issued Regional General Permit (RGP) #3, for small, private, recreational boat docks and associated access within certain navigable waters of the U.S. The purpose of RGP 3 is to implement an expedited permit application and review process for the installation of small, private, recreational boat docks and associated access that require a Department of the Army (DA) Permit prior to construction in navigable waters of the United States (U.S.).
