Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

Mailing lists are categorized by county and state. For instructions to be added to a Public Notice notification list, see https://www.spk.usace.army.mil/Missions/Regulatory/Permitting/Request-for-Public-Notice-Notification/.

Enter the roundabout and take the first exit onto Raggio Parkway (stay to the right) and use the parking lot to the left. Drive towards the flags and park anywhere that is not covered. The main entrance, Elizabeth Stout West Conference Center, is up the stairs and across from the flag pole.

The July 30th workshop is open to all interested parties, including the regulated public, consultants, environmental organizations, and representatives from tribes, federal, state, county and local agencies.  Originally established in 2006 as the “Regulatory Information Forum,” Regulatory Program Workshops are held periodically to provide the public with information about Corps permit requirements and updates on program execution in the Sacramento District.  Local project managers will be available to meet attendees.  This workshop will focus on the District’s regulatory boundaries, paperless submission process, complete applications, and the minimum standards for submitting jurisdictional determinations and drawings.  Advanced questions are encouraged and may be sent to Jennifer.C.Thomason@usace.army.mil.

There is no charge for the workshop but space is limited to 75 people.  Participation by webinar is also an option.  To register to attend the workshop or to request access information to participate by webinar, email Ms. Jennifer Thomason at Jennifer.C.Thomason@usace.army.mil with subject line reading “Nevada Regulatory Program Workshop.”  The email should include your name, organization, email address and telephone number in the body of the email, and also state whether you plan to attend in person or to participate by webinar.  For logistical purposes, we ask that attendees register no later than Tuesday,  July 23, 2019.  Unfortunately, those who do not pre-register may be turned away if space is not available. If you signed up for the workshop and find you are unable to attend, please notify Ms. Thomason as soon as possible so that another may attend.
