Sacramento District Job Fair, May 2015

SACRAMENTO, California – With more than 200 job vacancies to fill in the coming months, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District will host a job fair in downtown Sacramento May 27 to share the opportunities and help prospective applicants navigate the application process.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon May 27 at the Grand Ballroom, located at 1215 J Street in downtown Sacramento. Corps representatives will be on hand to discuss positions, job requirements and answer any questions about working for the Corps.

Among the expected vacancies are permanent, limited-term and student positions at the district’s Sacramento headquarters and its field offices throughout the western United States.

“The Corps of Engineers is the nation’s premier engineering agency, but we do so much more than engineering,” said Col. Michael Farrell, commander of the Corps’ Sacramento District. “We also employ park rangers, biologists, real estate and contract specialists, administrative and maintenance staff, archaeologists and journalists, to name just a few. Working for the Corps offers great training, mobility and experience, and a secure and rewarding career in public service.”
