This year the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will continue its tradition of waiving all day use fees at USACE managed recreation areas on June 16 and 19 in honor of the USACE’s upcoming birthday and Juneteenth National Independence Day.

Upcoming fee-free days include:

  • The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Birthday – June 16, 2025
  • Juneteenth National Independence Day – June 19, 2025
  • National Public Lands Day – Sept. 27, 2025
  • Veteran’s Day - Nov. 11, 2025

During fee-free days, the fees waived also cover boat launch ramps and swim beach areas. However, the waived fees do not apply to camping or camping related services or fees for specialized facilities such as group picnic shelters.

This annual tradition began on Veterans Day in 2006 as a way to honor the brave men and women who have served our Nation in uniform. As one of the leading federal providers of outdoor recreation, USACE welcomes more than 260 million visitors each year to over 400 lake and river projects across 43 states.
