American River Common Features project inspected after first winter

Completed in 2025, Contract 3A marks a major milestone for the American River Common Features program and significantly strengthens flood protection in an area that nearly failed during the 1986 flood event. On May 5, members of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers St. Paul District joined Sacramento District staff and non-federal sponsor representatives to inspect Lower American River Contract 3A following its first winter flood season.
