Lower San Joaquin River Project Phase 1 – Tenmile Slough Levee

Phase 1 of the Lower San Joaquin River Flood Risk Reduction Project includes levee improvements along approximately 5,900 feet of Tenmile Slough, with construction activities such as installation of a cut-off wall, reshaping, and erosion protection. Led by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District in partnership with the Central Valley Flood Protection Board, California Department of Water Resources, and San Joaquin Area Flood Control Agency, this work is part of a $1.95 billion multi-year effort to reduce flood risk for more than 235,000 residents in north and central Stockton.
