Fort Ord Dunes State Park
A scenic view of the coastline at Fort Ord Dunes State Park, Monterey, California, once part of a live-fire training range used by the U.S. Army from World War II until the 1990s. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is cleaning up the area to remove hazards and contaminants, making the land safe for public use. Taken on Sept. 23, 2024.
