Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

  • SPK-2016-00220 - Port of Stockton, San Joaquin County, CA

    Expiration date: 5/23/2016

    The Port of Stockton has applied for a permit for a programmatic maintenance dredging project, which would result in approximately 369,300 cubic yards of sediment removal that would occur over the course of 5 years, within waters of the United States. The project site is located within the Stockton Deep Water Ship Channel (DWSC), Latitude 37.961889°, Longitude -121.364539°, San Joaquin County, California, and can be seen on the CA-STOCKTON WEST USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

  • SPK-2011-00684, establish the Markham Ravine Mitigation Bank, Placer County, CA

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, (Corps) is evaluating a proposal to establish the Markham Ravine Mitigation Bank. The Sponsor (Westervelt Ecological Services) proposes to re-establish approximately 36 acres of vernal pools and seasonal wetlands on the 300-acre bank site. The proposed bank site is located northwest of the intersection of Brewer Road and North Avenue in western Placer County, west of the city of Lincoln, California, Latitude 38.88592°, Longitude -121.46053°, Placer County, California, and can be seen on the CA-Sheridan USGS Topographic Quadrangle.

  • SPK-2006-01050, ROD for the Sierra Vista Specific Plan, Placer County, CA

    On March 30, 2016, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District (Corps) completed a Record of Decision (ROD) for the Sierra Vista Specific Plan in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act. The ROD follows the issuance of a Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) in June 2013. The EIS was prepared by the Corps to analyze the direct, indirect and cumulative effects associated with a mixed-use development project in the City of Roseville, California.
  • SPN-2009-00443, ROD for the Panoche Valley Solar Project, San Benito County, CA

    The Record of Decision (ROD) for the Panoche Valley Solar Project, located in eastern San Benito County, has been completed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, South Pacific Division.
