Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

  • SPK-2014-00187 - Emergency Drought Barriers project

    Expiration date: 4/29/2014

    The comment end date has been extended to April 29, 2014 The California Department of Water Resources has applied for a permit to place dredged or fill material in approximately 3.89 acres (0.75 acre permanent and 3.15 acres temporary) of waters of the United States to construct three temporary salinity barriers. Proposed barriers would be located in Sutter Slough, approximately 1.25 miles downstream of the Sacramento River, Steamboat Slough, approximately 0.95 miles downstream of the Sacramento River, and False River, approximately 0.4 miles east of the San Joaquin River.

  • SPK-2006-00228 - Proposal to issue Regional General Permit (RGP)

    Department of Water Resources (DWR) has applied for a Regional General Permit to implement Phase I of its Small Erosion Repair Program (SERP) that would streamline the application and permitting process for small erosion repair projects proposed by DWR that result in the discharge of dredged or fill materials into waters of the U.S. The Phase 1 SERP program area includes approximately 300 miles of levees on portions of the Sacramento River Flood Control Project.
