SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and
the Central Valley Veterans Organization are looking for boats and captains to
support a fishing tournament May 14 at Pine Flat Lake near Fresno.
The fifth annual Central Valley Veterans’ Warriors on the
Lake event, designed to let disabled military Veterans know their life isn’t
over due to their injuries, has seen more service members sign up than
anticipated and now boat space is an issue.
Organizers are looking for boat captains and their boats to
accommodate about 20 additional service members.

support our disable Veterans in the Central Valley or are part of a local

The event includes breakfast, fishing tournament,
barbeque lunch and raffle prizes, and it’s all free for participants thanks to
the help of local sponsors and donations. Everyone also receives an event
T-shirt and plaque.
