Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, will hold its next Utah Regulatory Program Workshop on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, from 1 to 3:30 pm in the Auditorium at the South Branch, Davis County Library located in Bountiful, Utah. The Auditorium is located on the lower level and is accessible by elevator or stairs. 

Originally established as the “Regulatory Information Forum” in 2006, Regulatory Program Workshops are held periodically to provide the public with information about Corps permit requirements and updates on program execution in the Sacramento District. The workshop is open to all interested parties, including the regulated public, consultants, environmental organizations, and federal, state, and local agencies. 

The March 16th workshop will focus on the an overview of types of Corps permits and permitting authority under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act; minimum delineation and map/drawing standards; required components for submitting a complete application, and information on how to identify the availability of mitigation credits using the Regulatory In Lieu Fee and Bank Information Tracking System (RIBITS). Local project managers/staff will attend to present and to answer questions. 

There is no charge for the workshop but space is limited to 90 people. To register for the workshop, email Ms. Kathleen Anderson at kathleen.anderson@usace.army.mil, with subject line reading “Utah Regulatory Program Workshop.” Be sure to include your name, organization name, email address and telephone number in the body of the message. Your email should arrive by March 15th. Unfortunately, due to limited space, those who do not pre-register may be turned away.
