Public Notices

Under the Corps' Regulatory Program, a public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.

Public Notices published by the Sacramento District under the Regulatory Program are posted on this page. Once a public notice is available on-line, an email notification is sent to individuals on the appropriate mailing list.

Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice.  Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

Announcement of Next Regulatory Program Workshop February 16, 2016.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, Durango Regulatory Office will hold the next Regulatory Program Workshop on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm at the San Juan Public Lands Center, 15 Burnett Ct, Sonora Room A, B, and C, Durango, Colorado 81301

8:30 – 9:00 Sign-in/Networking
9:00 – 9:30 Introductions
9:30 - 10:40 CWA Background
10:40 -11:00 Break/Networking
11:00 -12:00 Minimum Standards for Aquatic Resource Delineations
12:00 -12:30 Lunch/Informal Discussion (Bring your own lunch)
12:30 - 1:00 NWP/401 WQ Cert Requirements
1:00 - 2:00 SPD Mitigation and Monitoring Guidelines
2:00 - 3:00 Questions and open discussion

There is no charge for the workshop but space is limited to 75 people. Register for the workshop by emailing Mr. Terry Stone at leonard.t.stone@usace.army.mil with the subject line reading “Regulatory Program Workshop” and your name, organization name, email and telephone number in the body of the message. Your email should be received by February 11, 2016. Unfortunately, due to space and security issues, those who did not register will be turned away. Please bring your own lunch, coffee, and beverages for the day. There is a water fountain and restrooms at the facility.

If you sign up for the workshop and later find you are unable to attend, please notify Mr. Stone as soon as possible so that another may attend.
