USACE Awards Construction Contract for Folsom Dam Raise Dike 8

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District awarded a $4.2 million construction contract August 8 to Odin Construction Solutions, Inc., of Rocklin, California, to raise Dike 8 at Folsom Lake by 3.5 feet.

Corps to conduct traffic control operations near Folsom Dam

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District and its contractor Kiewit Infrastructure will conduct traffic control operations as part of the Folsom Dam Auxiliary Spillway construction project August 17 through September 1, forcing temporary delays on Folsom Point Access Road.

Two more giant spillway gates set to arrive at Folsom Dam

Two more giant gates for the new auxiliary spillway at Folsom Dam are scheduled to complete the 600-mile journey from Vancouver, Wash., to Folsom this month with the first one scheduled to arrive early in the morning Saturday, May 10. A second delivery this month is scheduled to arrive early in the morning on May 17.
