SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District will host a public meeting May 30, 2013, to discuss the draft environmental review for the Placer Vineyards Specific Plan.
The proposed project - located in western Placer County, north of Gibson Ranch County Park in Elverta - would construct a large-scale, mixed-use development totaling approximately 5,230 acres, which would include residential housing, commercial offices, schools, community parks, open space, roadways and infrastructure.
Project representatives will be available to answer questions about the proposed construction method and associated construction impacts.

The Corps seeks comments related to the proposal's probable impacts on the affected aquatic environment, and the secondary and cumulative effects. Comments received will be considered by the Corps for developing a final environmental impact statement and determine whether to issue, modify, condition or deny a permit for this proposal.
