Roadwork to close recreation area at Success Lake

Success Lake, near Porterville, California, is temporarily closing vehicle access to the Rocky Hill Recreation Area starting today, October 22, in order to conduct road repairs. Construction is projected to be complete by December 1.

 

Repairs to the road will allow for safer access to and from the Rocky Hill Recreational Area. 

 

Success Lake’s Tule Recreation Area, located on the opposite side of the lake next to Highway 190, will remain open during this closure. Boaters may launch their boats from the Lower Tule Point Ramp.
