SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Success Lake, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers park, is hosting National Public Lands Day on Sept. 22, providing free entry to day-use areas for all participating volunteers.
This year’s event begins at 8 a.m. and concludes at noon with volunteers participating in a variety of projects such as trail maintenance, shoreline clean-up, litter removal and campground beautification. Volunteers must wear appropriate work attire, including closed-toed shoes or boots, long pants and shirts that help shield from the elements. Tools will be provided, volunteers are encouraged to bring properly fitted work gloves.
Volunteers participating in our Corps of Engineers Sacramento District National Public Lands Day events will receive a coupon for a free day-use pass valid for one year at any federal park!
